bittersweet day
nothing can be perfect

During his stay in the human world, Hitsugaya set a telephone-TV-like device at Orihime's place (he and Rangiku stayed there temporarily) which enabled him to communicate with other Shinigami from Soul Society. One day, after a report session was over between Hitsugaya and Yamamoto, an almost ghostly Hinamori appeared to Hitsugaya's astonishment. As Rangiku silently went out of the room with Yamamoto taking a few steps back from the screen, Hitsugaya and Hinamori were able to speak to each other alone for the first time since Hitsugaya left for his new mission.
Hitsugaya was relieved to see Hinamori awake, but he couldn't hide his worries for the girl who looked as terrible as dead. When Hinamori tried to apologize for misunderstanding Hitsugaya a while back, Hitsugaya assured her that he didn't mind at all and joked about her slow growth compared to Rangiku. He also made his usual remarks about Hinamori not addressing him properly as a captain, which actually cheered Hinamori up a little - it was good to see her little friend acting just like his old self.
However, Hitsugaya and Hinamori's conversation didn't end in a pleasant way. After Aizen's name was brought up briefly, Hinamori went back to her old paranoia, causing Yamamoto to step in and end the meeting forcibly. With a painful expression on his face, Hitsugaya thanked Yamamoto for bringing Hinamori along. A clean end must be put to Aizen's influence - the small captain is now more determined than ever to complete his task, no matter what the cost might be in the end.
