where does falsehood lie?

To everyone's surprise, Hinamori makes a forcible escape from jail and is nowhere to be seen. Thinking that she might have gone to Gin for revenge, Hitsugaya rushes out to her aid, only to find himself becoming her new opponent. According to Aizen's last will, Hitsugaya is the true culprit behind Rukia's execution and possibly Aizen's death as well. Highly confused and saddened by her friend's sudden "betrayal", Hinamori attacks Hitsugaya tearfully but ends up getting knocked out during a midair match.

Meanwhile, Hitsugaya is as confused as he is angry. He suspects the "will" to be either a fake or something that's been altered, and his original doubt about Gin placed all his anger on the latter, whom he blamed for hurting Hinamori physically and mentally at once. The two soon engage themselves in a fierce battle, and Hitsugaya was about to get the upper hand when Gin's Soul Cutter aimed at an unconsious Hinamori with no premonition. To Hitsugaya's relief, Rangiku arrives just in time to block Gin's sword while almost shattering her own. Not wanting to fight Rangiku out of all people, Gin retreats half-unwillingly, giving Hitsugaya enough time to carry Hinamori back to Division 4 for proper treatment.

Hinamori's misunderstanding proves to be a painful experience, but there was no room for depression in Hitsugaya's heart just yet. Now fully aware of the various fishy elements in Rukia's execution order, Hitsugaya decides to pay Central 46 Seats a visit with Rangiku. Before his departure, he set a strong barrier around Hinamori's room so that nobody could take advantage of the unconscious girl during his absense.
