After graduation, both Hitsugaya and Hinamori were able to earn some shiny titles from Gotei 13-Tai: Hitsugaya was appointed as the head of Division 10 and Hinamori was dispatched to the 5th Division, serving under her long-admired Captain Aizen as a vice-captain.

The level of responsibility has increased drastically for both Hitsugaya and Hinamori as leaders. However, they always took the effort to spend quality time together in between their busy schedule. Just like old times, Hinamori would never forget to drag Hitsugaya out during special times such as birthdays and holidays. On the other hand, Hitsugaya would silently watch out for Hinamori whether she's within his sight or not, though he would never admit his actions openly.

As time passed by, Hitsugaya's natural charisma and Hinamori's sweet personality managed to attract a small but qualitative group of friends (Rangiku, Aizen, Kira, Renji, etc.). On the surface, Gotei 13-Tai is a fearsome group of executors; but they're also the biggest fun-loving bunch in Soul Society, especially when off-duty: whether it be drinking parties or hotspring chats, Hitsugaya and Hinamori are often seen together, surrounded by a big circle of "family".
